Our Story and Values
kinnarna opened in 2019 with a vision to transform senior care in Northern Thailand. The founders, having witnessed the challenges families face when seeking quality residential options for aging parents, recognized a need for a facility that honored Thai cultural values while providing professional, person-centered care.
Our name, kinnarna, comes from Thai mythology—a celestial being known for grace, beauty, and wisdom. This symbolizes our commitment to treating each resident with reverence and providing an environment where they can continue to grow, contribute, and find joy in their daily lives.
Located in the peaceful district of Mae Rim, just outside Chiang Mai city, our facility sits amid gardens and mountain views. This setting was chosen deliberately to offer residents fresh air, natural beauty, and a sense of tranquility. The architecture draws from traditional northern Thai design, incorporating open-air spaces, shaded walkways, and communal pavilions where residents gather for activities and meals.
What sets kinnarna apart is our integration of Thai cultural respect for elders with contemporary care methodologies. Our staff undergoes training in both professional caregiving techniques and traditional Thai concepts of hospitality and respect. Since our opening, kinnarna has served families from across Thailand and from the international community living in Chiang Mai. We have expanded our services to include daytime programs for those who prefer to remain in their own homes while benefiting from structured social engagement. Our Premium Private Residence option was developed in response to families seeking higher levels of personalization and privacy within a supportive community setting.

Director of Care Services
Siriporn has over 15 years of experience in senior care management and holds certifications in gerontology and care coordination. She oversees all care programs and ensures quality standards across the facility.
Anong Chantara
Activities Coordinator
Anong designs and leads our daily activity programs, drawing from her background in therapeutic recreation and her deep knowledge of Thai cultural traditions. She ensures each resident finds meaningful ways to engage.
Wichai Somboon
Wellness & Nutrition Manager
Wichai manages our meal programs and wellness initiatives. His culinary training and understanding of dietary needs help us provide nutritious, flavorful meals that accommodate individual preferences and health requirements.
